JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsible for completing specific work projects/tasks relating the delivery and administration of educational programs. Ensures that education programs are delivered and administered in a smooth and efficient manner, consistent with the quality and reliability associated with the Appraisal Institute’s reputation. Ensures overall student satisfaction.

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

Director, Education Delivery Services Team

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Provide support for all types of education including:
  • Standard chapter programs (nationally developed materials)
  • Chapter developed programs and meetings
  • Recruitment/retention membership programs
  • National premieres
  • National programs
  • Special programs
  • Membership recruitment and retention programs
  • International programs
  • AI conferences
  • Conferences that we collaborate with others
  • Programs developed for outside clients – i.e., the Lender series
  • Any other education programs
2. Approve applications for chapter-sponsored education programs – nationally developed programs, chapter-developed programs, lunch/dinner meetings, etc.
3. Use the administration side of the On-Line Registration System (OLRS) to enter education programs or assist chapters in entering its program(s) into the national database.

4. Pre-program responsibilities include such tasks as:
  • Using OLRS to enroll students where appropriate (i.e., for those who have not enrolled through OLRS or the designated, associate, and prospect member service centers).
  • Order materials for those students who did not get materials directly shipped and for potential walk-ins.
  • Generate program certificates
5. Post-program responsibilities include such tasks as:
  • Enrolling walk-ins where appropriate (e.g., enter data regarding students who did not pre-register).
  • Receive, grade, and enter data regarding examinations. Issue grade letters and certificates.
  • Receive, compile, summarize, and record evaluations associated with a program, including evaluations of the program content and instructor evaluations.
  • Invoice chapters, students (for issues not taken care of by OLRS).
  • Invoice special program providers.
  • Filing
6. Arrange logistics for and support re-exams and challenge exams.

7. Send out instructor materials

8. Process student requests for certificates and transcripts received by Associate Member, Prospective Member, and Designated Member Teams and fulfill such requests.

9. Maintain knowledge of:
  • Whether a program has been approved for QE or CE in a certain state using state certification web page.
  • State rules regarding implementation of the 2008 AQB criteria.
  • Policies and procedures in other areas of Education Network Services including instructors, state certification and licensing and national/special programs.
10. Execute special projects and duties as assigned by the Manager, Education Delivery Services.

TRANSITIONAL DUTIES:
1. Train chapters regarding use of OLRS.
2. Handle non-member student phone calls.

PHYSICAL AND VISUAL ACTIVITIES:
Standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, carrying, reaching, handling, sitting, keying, talking, hearing, visual acuity-near and far, field of vision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
No significant demand associated with this job.

ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS:
Usual office environmental conditions.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two years of work experience required, preferably in an association.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks in an orderly and efficient manner.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient written communication skills.
  • Can handle a variety of responsibilities and make decisions independently.
  • Able to process detailed work accurately.
  • Works both independently and with a team.
  • Can accomplish work and special projects within established guidelines.
  • Can carry out assigned workloads and meet deadlines.

MACHINE, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT (OFFICE AND INDUSTRIAL), SOFTWARE:

Microsoft word-processing and spreadsheet programs, data processing, internet/e-mail and/or membership database experience desirable, and personal computer knowledge.
